Came for restaurant month* and the menu selections and deal for it is great! Started off with the queijo de cabra- reminded me a bit of tomato soup but wasn't bad and the garlic toast is very good with it. For my main I had the Portuguese squid fried rice. Really good and decent serving size. For dessert had the bread pudding. Can't go wrong with that. Me and my friend split a pitcher of sangria which wasn't bad price wise either, we both had atleast 2 & a half glasses each. My friend had the seafood balchao curry which was also really good, I was able to try it as well. And the chocolate torte for dessert. Our waiter was super helpful with recommendations and the experience overall was a good one.

We can here for Houston Restaurant Weeks. Love this place, the atmosphere is nice, place is clean, staff are friendly. What a great deal, for an appetizer entree and dessert you pay 39.99 and part goes to the Houston Food Bank. I ordered the qeuijo de cabra which is my favorite dish here. It's goat cheese covered in crushed walnuts in a bed of tomato basil sauce with garlic toast to spread it on, delish. For the entree I ordered the curry seafood which comes with basmati rice and Naan. Everything was so flavorful and just the right amount of heat. For dessert I ordered bolo dessert baracha which is a Portuguese tiramisu, yum yum just the perfect amount of food with each course. Would definitely return and also recommend this place!!!!! There is Street parking which you have to pay a meter for.

The food was delicious!! Croquettes- a must! So crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Salada morocaine-- very good. The dressing was the perfect amount. Definitely a drizzle and not soaked which we loved Chicken empanadas-- pastry crust was perfectly flaky, filling was very tasty Shrimp and crab pizza-- very good with a good amount of meat The food came out very hot and fresh. The ambiance is very welcoming and comfortable. Overall, I would definitely recommend for a date night!!

Patting myself on the back for picking this for HRW dinner and a post-theatre dinner show as it's only 10 min away from the Houston Theatre district. TBH, I've been hearing about this restaurant for years but never got an opportunity to try it. We didn't have reservations but went in after a Sat afternoon show so it was only around 5 when we parked on the side street and found seating at the bar. Would def recommend reservations if wanting dinner later. Service was excellent at the bar. Our bartender was the sweetest guy and took great care of us and regaled us w conversation in a non-obtrusive manner. We ordered off the HRW menu and weren't dissatisfied w a single dish although most weren't mind blowingly amazing (prefer spicier curries and more tender steak w a crust or sear etc). We did try the chicken curry empanadas on the regular menu and so glad we got 4 and not 3 in the order. These were my favorite. So much better than a samosa! My husband absolutely loved his salad, probably more than the steak he got which is definitely saying something! We had great drinks and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It was a nice vibe. The service definitely pushed this rating to a 5 and we would return for a nice occasion in a heartbeat!

My partner and I came here for dinner on a Friday night during Houston Restaurant Week. We sat at the bar and there was no wait and our server Marcos was great! He was knowledgable of the menu and had lots of popular recommendations for us to try. I've never had Portuguese food before and the food was spectacular and delicious. Each dish had its own unique blend of flavors and spices that caught me by surprise. Our favorites were the Batatas a Murro and Polvo Com Batatas. The whole meal, combined with the dim, fancy aesthetic of the restaurant, made for a memorable, yet comfortable dinner in Montrose/Midtown area.

Great please to come with friends to share tapas and drinks! Service is great and ambience is quiet enough to have a normal conversation without feeling like you have to whisper. Everything we had was great..except I would likely pass on the sardines next time.

Super swanky place. The seared scallops were my favorite and the farroto was really good. We also got mussels, which came with bread, and the bread is really good to dip in the tomato sauce in the mussel dish. Our server was amazing and very attentive. If you're looking to try Portugese food, this is a great place to go!
